Artist Profile
Australian Artist and Illustrator Elsie Houston grew up in London, where she attended art college before setting off to travel the world. Eventually, the call of the coast proved too strong to ignore, and she made her way to Sydney. There, she studied design and built a career in advertising, working with clients across the music and fashion industries.
Away from the studio, Elsie could almost always be found in the surf or soaking up the beauty of Sydney’s Northern Beaches—an environment that quickly became both her home and her muse.
“After having kids, I started my own little design business, supporting local small businesses with branding and illustration while still selling my art on the side. These days, I’m leaning fully into what I love most—creating beachy, tropical artworks that bring a sense of escape and capture happy memories of the ocean in coastal homes.”

Meet the owner
Hi, I’m Laura, a Northern Beaches local and mum of two. After more than 15 years in marketing, I decided to follow my passion for creativity and community by creating My Little Art Studio. Here, I bring together my love of art and people, selling original works and curated prints by Australian artists while also hosting art workshops that make creativity accessible, calming, and fun.
With a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design Technology from the University of the Arts London, creativity has always been at the heart of my life. From fashion and design to painting, ceramics, and crafts, the studio is a natural extension of my journey and a space where others can discover the joy of making and connecting through art.
I bring my energy, warmth, and creativity into every session, and my greatest joy is seeing people of all ages light up when they create something they're proud of.
